Political Internship at FOMOSO
Description
As an independent and non-profit organisation, FOMOSO promotes the opinion-forming about Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe in the German-speaking world and in whole Europe. In the additional work as a think-tank, the aim of FOMOSO is to promote knowledge and interests about political processes in Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe. On the whole, FOMOSO works on an integrative and strong Europe!
Requirements
– Interested in Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe in a political sense
– English (Level C1/C2) and at best some German (willing to improve German)
– Having very good writing skills
– Being keen on doing research, categorisations, summaries and comparisons
– Sharing ideas and being communicative
Possible Duties:
– Writing blogs, articles & commentaries (in German and/ or English)
– Doing research, summaries, comparisons and translations
– Cooperating in a dossier project
– Sharing posts about interesting topics
– Working on our FOMOSO Podcast
– Creating polls (written)
– Performing interviews
– Collecting information (using spreadsheet)
Date: The duration of internship is 3 to 6 months (upon consultation)
Location: Home Office – Online Internship (flexible: 20% – 30% working hours per week)
Work: Voluntary / Unpaid

Internship – Communication & Social Media

Requirements:
– Interested in Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe (including the Baltic States,
Belarus & Ukraine) in a social and political sense
– Very good/ excellent English and at best some German
– Able to use social media
– Very communicative
– Being keen on sharing new ideas
– Joy of communicating with others
– Having a flair for Marketing & Public Relations
Duties:
– Managing and extending social media
– Sharing and posting posts about interesting topics
– Encouraging discussions on social media (i.e. creating polls)
– Willing to give inputs and new ideas
– Searching & contacting partners and organisations
– Optional: Marketing & Public Relations

Cultural Internship at FOMOSO

As an independent and non-profit organisation, FOMOSO promotes the opinion-forming about Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe in the German-speaking world and in whole Europe. In the additional work as a think-tank, the aim of FOMOSO is to promote knowledge
and interests about political, social and cultural processes in Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe. On the whole, FOMOSO works on an integrative and strong Europe!
We are currently in the process of designing our future contribution to promote knowledge and interest in (socio-) cultural topics, such as art, literature and music, and their respective political dimension in Central-Eastern and Southeastern Europe, including the Baltics,
Belarus, Ukraine and Kaliningrad Oblast.
Requirements:
– Strong interest in (socio-) cultural topics in the region
– 1-2 semesters study experience in, for instance, area studies (particularly Slavic,
Eastern or Southeastern European Studies), arts, music, linguistics, cultural and
literary studies, history, or likewise Or Relevant work / study / volunteer experience,
e.g. apprenticeship / internship / long-term volunteering in the field of culture and arts
/ the region
– Good command of German and/or English (ideally very good written command of
one), knowledge of a language of the region is an advantage
– Team-player, self-reflexive, curious, flexible, creative and reliable
Possible Duties:
– researching for and composing brief, informative contents on cultural topics
– research tasks
– composing articles, commentaries, etc. on cultural topics
– contributing content-related ideas and supporting administration, design and
organisation
– organising, designing and conducting interviews
– social media content
– contribute to dossier projects
– translation
